With a fleet of over 5,000 AAR certified units, a nationwide network of terminals, and 2,300 tractors, OPT is your very own asset transportation company without the big investments and staff needed to run such a large fleet. Our network allows customers to utilize the intermodal pool without hidden charges; payment is calculated on the total amount of days a trailer is used. In certain lanes, drop-off charges may apply. There are no term commitments, no sign up fess and no hassles. Just take a few minutes to fill out our use agreements, and your off and running. The Optimized Pool Trailer Program isn't limited to intermodal service. These units can be used in local delivery service, highway long distance, and even water carrier service. Milestone Optimized Pool Trailer, we take the headaches out of Intermodal Shipping. Optimized Pool Trailer programs: 1) Daily Pool OPT daily pool is available for those Motor Carriers, Intermodal Marketing Companies, and Transportation Brokerage firms that have their own railroad intermodal private rates or need to move expedited freight over the highway. Just book a trailer where you, and off you go. The rental clock starts when a trailer is picked up and stops when the trailer is brought back to a designated terminal. We count the total days, and send out a bill. Don't worry about demurrage or hidden costs; our rates won't increase. 2) Bundled Pool (coming soon) For those customers that do not have their own transportation rates, OPT will soon be offering a door-to door bundled rate structure that allows you to focus on the customer. Our wholesale transportation service is being created to support your needs. The OPT Team WILL NOT back solicit or deal with customers direct. That's your job! Our job is to support your needs and to make sure you have equipment available for your customers. 3) Lease Pool Looking for a Lease product for round trip and dedicated moves. We have attractive rates and services to make the Optimized Pool Trailer work for you. This allows you to be in control all the time; which gives you the ability needed to meet customer demands and deadlines. 4) Guarantee Pool The OPT Guarantee program is a unique product to guarantee assets when you need them during peek shipping seasons. We will work with you on an annual or bi-annual pricing structure that guarantees assets when you need them most. And when you don't, we'll place these units in our pool and help market them to other customers looking for assets on a daily basis. With the Guarantee product, we'll share in the revenue when trailers are working with other customers. 5) Container Pool Introducing the only "Grey" container program. These containers are able to run anywhere private container service is offered. You supply the rates and the Chassis and we'll supply the Container. At this time, containers are only available for pick up and drop off in Chicago.
